Scafi Società di Navigazione S.p.A. is an Italian shipping company founded in the 1950s by Salvatore Cafiero, and today among the leaders in harbor towage in the Mediterranean area. Scafi success mainly relies on its strong commitment to adapt to each local market, making tight partnerships with its clients and suppliers, and striving to improve the quality and safety of its services.

Currently, Scafi operates through its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, in the Italian ports of La Spezia (Rimorchiatori Riuniti Spezzini), Savona (Carmelo Noli), and Gioia Tauro (Contug, in joint venture), in the Croatian ports and basins of Rijeka and Zadar (Jadranski Pomorski Servis), in the Greek ports of Piraeus and Thessaloniki (Vernicos Scafi, in joint venture), employing more than 40 tugs.

In 2018 Scafi, with its newly created subsidiary Safirem, has been awarded a 20 years concession by Moroccan National Port Agency (ANP) to provide harbor towage in the New Port of Safi.

The port opened at the beginning of 2020, and Safirem operates with 3 ASD tugs.
